Previous experience

Since the beginning of 2017, E. Lazauskas has headed the Freight Transport Directorate of Lithuanian Railways.

Following the relocation of operations, since 1 May 2019 he has been appointed as the CEO of the newly established Lithuanian Railways freight company LG CARGO, which continued its activities. On 20 July 2020, the company changed its name to LTG Cargo.

Prior to joining the Lithuanian Railways Group, E. Lazauskas led the Ernst & Young Baltic infrastructure project team.

He has also led Lithuanian and international teams of experts working in the logistics sector, participated in the preparation of the feasibility study for the establishment of Klaipėda Public Logistics Centre, programme for the development of Klaipėda Seaport until 2030, and by order of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development prepared an analysis of investment projects in the Baltic transport sector.


In 1996, E. Lazauskas earned a bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from Vilniius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU). In 1997, he was awarded a VGTU diploma of Environmental Engineer.
