Container train Sestokai Express connects partners from Western and Eastern Europe, Lithuania, Russia and Kazakhstan. The goal of the project is to collect goods from the European Union, using Warsaw and to deliver cargo to Smolensk, Russian Federation, by using a unique Kena station, modern Lithuanian Railways' infrastructure and Lithuania-Belarus bilateral agreements. From Kena containers will be delivered to different directions in Russia, Kazakhstan and Middle East countries. Sestokai Express operator in Western and Eastern Europe is Hupac Intermodal SA, an international logistics company and it is operated by its subsidiary company in Moscow, Intermodal Express. Cooperation with DB Schenker Rail Polska, one of the world leaders in logistics, ensures the container transportation via Poland to Mockava terminal.

On March 21, 2012 cooperation agreement was signed on organizing regular container trains via routes: Western Europe - Sestokai (Lithuania) - Smolensk (Russia) - Sestokai (Lithuania Republic) - Western Europe. The first Sestokai Express train was released on 25 March, 2012.
